Real Names: Ampaire Allan
Toniks; a name created by him and Norbert from tones and semi-tones. Toniks became a household name to many Ugandans in 2008 with “Beera Nange” featuring Lillian. In 2010, Toniks got an international nod when he got nominated for Best Pop Video in the famous Nigerian Soundcity Music Video Awards which he considers his first achievement out of mant that are yet to come. He competed with people like Omawumi from Nigeria, Samini from Ghana, 2Face Idibia from Nigeria, Jon German from Ghana and Djinee from Nigeria.
It wall began in Ntare, where he used to do a lot of karaoke, he performed at the first ever PAM Awards Western Launch which opened new doors for him. After Ntare, he met Aydee of Ngoni and teamed up with former school mate Lillian and recorded Beera Nange. The song was released and it caught Kampala by storm and became an instant hit thus the rest become history. After Beera Nange he recorded more songs like I’ll be There, Nsuubiza, Yenze, That gyal, Kyeninawo, and many more. He has also recorded collaborations with fellow Ugandan artists like January to December ft Omulangira Suuna, Rescue Me with Moses Radio and Weasle. He has gone ahead some international collaborations with Roberto, Fishman from Zambia and Gal Level from Namibia

“U” standing for Uganda and “Z” standing for Zambia was set up Sling Beats from Zambia and Munyaradzi Daka from Nigeria. They had an aim to form this African Duo, two independent artists, from different countries with independent career coming together and recording songs for African consumption. The group consists of Toniks and Roberto (Gen Ozzey’s brother) and they have recorded songs like Killer Love; recorded in Namibia by Maj Beats, Swagg Meter; featuring Roberto and recorded in Zambia by Sling Beats, Priceless; recorded in Uganda at Swangz Ave by Just Jose, Save it for me; featuring Roberto and General Ozzey recorded in Namibia and many more

Upcoming Album
The album consists of 12 songs recorded in different countries and studios. Songs include That gyal, Kyeninawo, Nigenda Yona (I want it all), Best friend ft Keko, Pumzi (Oxygen) ft Faisal MC, Kyawedde, Its OK, She wants more, Killer Love, Kampala Gals. He will be holding an concert in May 2010.
