Brian Marley and the Big Drum
I
was born in 1979 in Jinja town (hospital) in Eastern Uganda.
Both of my parents are now deceased. My primary years were spent
in both Jinja and Kampala in Schools like Wanyange Primary
School and Kiswa Primary School respectively.
I joined 'O' level in
Jinja Secondary School and Lakeside College in Jinja. 'A' levels
saw me completing in Uphill College.
I started singing when I was in primary four but it wasn't real
until I reached senior three that I started serious vocal
practice.
I have composed many
songs since 1997 and so far I have formed a group called The Big
Drum, in full Bryan Marley and the Big Drum. The members of the
group are Lady Christine, Abraham, Kenny and I Bryan. We sing
both gospel and secular songs.
Currently I stay in Bugolobi and I also run a barber shop in
Leon Barber Services at Bugolobi New market.
My best male artists are Born Jamericans, Baba Maal, the late
Bob Marley, Apache Indian and Buju Banton while the female
artists are Patra, the late Black Box, Whitney Houston and
Aaliyah.
Brian Marley and The Big Drum are working on a new album.
