DJ Michael releases video album

Veteran Lido Beach Disc jockey and dancehall recording artist DJ Michael has gone down in history as the first ever artist to release a whole video album first before releasing his album officially.” I just wanted to come out differently this time since many of my fellow artists always release one video after a particular audio.

The flamboyant Michael who always rolls in the company of his Dancehall crew mates comprising of all over thirteen members and other affiliates is still in charge as the president of the outfit and often performs with his crew whenever he is called upon to do so. While in Kampala his crew is booked to Kabalagala’s Swanky café cherry owned by a one lady Cherry who seldom travels the world for business.

Michael who first hit the Ugandan dancehall scene with his party like rhythm in praise of Lido beach, continued to thrill Ugandans with tracks such as Bell lager but the one that gave him rocket energy on the market was the monster hit. “Wandekera’abaana”. Meanwhile his new video project for the album Ebuuyala (abroad) mainly castigates Ugandans who abroad either to study or do business with promises of returning home but thereafter forget their motherland Uganda. He continues to urge them to think about home and their people while abroad. The album Ebulaaya boasts of monster hits such as; Ebulaaya the album title track, Mamo ni Mambo, Sidiwani,Kimanye, Nkulowowa (I think about you) and Mwana Muwala..

The video album is published by A.D.A records. Meanwhile in other developments, the artist is set for a Brazilian carnival tour from where he’ll head for another European tour due to the demand for his rhythms in especially the Scandinavian countries. On Christmas day you can catch him in the eastern district of Busia where he’s set to rock his hungry fans over there. Ebulaaya has one fact about it which is that you can tell that his style is different and he’s not trying to sound like any other artist.
