Daudy
My
name is David Richard Lumu ‘Daudy’. I am 25yrs old and a Ugandan
student pursuing a course in the Association of charted
certified accountants (ACCA0. I started singing way back in
Sunday school. As a young boy I developed the urge to sing
drawing my inspiration from Lionel Richie, MJ, Don Mo en, Sherry
Cesser, Richard Byekwaso and my brother a.k.a. Dee also a
talented artist.
All through primary
school to high school I had sang in School choirs sometimes as a
lead vocalist. I then joined a gospel group called TROPHY C.A
which was by then headed by Douglas a.k.a. Doug .B. Along the
journey of my singing career I have also sang in different
Church choirs like Kansanga Miracle center worship team and
Liberty worship team which I still attend up-to-date. I have had
the privilege of traveling to different countries in Africa to
perform such as Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and South Africa. This
has given me confidence to become a better artist.
All the songs I have
sung, I have written my self and some. I have produced my self.
Currently I have gone solo and so far I have recorded two songs
‘THANK YOU’ and ‘NAKOLANTYA’ all produced by Doug B.
Thank you was on the Kampala Fm countdown for two consecutive
months. Nakolantya, which I have just released, is now playing
on various Fm radios – both secular & gospel. My music is urban
gospel contemporary with a blend of R&B and soul all dressed up
with an African touch. My plan is to be a renowned songwriter of
gospel and contemporary music. I am planning to record and
release a debut album come June next year if I get the funds.
Also coming soon, is
an interview of Daudy by the puzzle at musicuganda. |
