Derique BC
Derique has his hit single playing on radio stations like Power FM, Power FM, Capital FM, Beat FM Capital FM, Sanyu FM and East Africa radio. He is also studying Medical Laboratory Technology at the Mulago Paramedic School. He too plays basketball during his free time and features for the ‘Warriors’ basketball team. He plans to get a degree in Medical Lab Technology and will never quit music and basketball. Like many other artists, he is hindered by shortage of funds for optimal studio recording and Ugandans don’t want to recognize their own artistes for some strange reason. Some radio stations don’t want to play your song if it is not recorded from the prominent studios. He and Doug B (Derique’s producer) are busy in ‘The Kitchen’ and Derique promised that there will be colabos with other artists like Sol Dre, Pure Soul and others. “I need your support in doing this. Born
on the 24th of April 1980, Derique BC is a new Gospel Hip-hop
Artiste. He has just done a new gospel single entitled “Unto You
Lord I Come” at Doug B’s Alpha-1 studio. He is currently working
on his debut album titled “The Calling” which is expected to
come out towards the end of the year (2003) or beginning of next
year (2004)
