Desire Luzinda: The New Gem of Ugandan Music
Famed for her songs, Nkomyewo, Bingi, Mubiite and her latest, Nina Omwami with Ngoni, Desire is slowly but surely moving up the ranks in Ugandan Music.
It is always said that music is food for the soul. It stirs up the inner most feelings embedded inside one's mind, body and soul. Listening to Desire Luzinda's songs gives a listener that ecstatic feeling that only powerful music can evoke.

Desire Luzinda: Do Not Compare Me to Juliana by Peter Allen Kigonya
To whether she hears about the comparisons to Juliana, Desire says - So much that at one point I felt cheated.
When many of us first heard Desire the first thing we thought of was Juliana Kanyomozi. While a good number simply thought that here is someone able to give Juliana some competition, there are those who thought that Desire was straight out copying Juliana's style. This all equated to an enormous struggle for Desire in terms of branding herself. To many, Juliana held the monopoly in their category of music and although Desire holds a lot of respect for the PAM Award winner, it was not easy getting the fans to stop the comparison... Desire fought to have her individuality recognized.

Desire Luzinda: One on One
Rumours about an affair with the mayor, what she feels about some of her sexy videos and about being a bad girl... Desire Luzinda talks about that and much more.
Continues from: Desire Luzinda: Do Not Compare Me to Juliana
Peter: So back to the music tell us about some of your successful songs...
Desire: Well there is Nina Omwami that I did with Ngoni... Nze nina omwami... (She starts to sing). There is also Mubiite...
Peter: What does Mubite mean?

Female artist Desire Luzinda of the “Nyumilwa omukwano” fame might become this year’s Big Brother Ugandan representative from the latest info we received last week.
Desire is the best candidate in a race that has five contestants remaining to take part in a reality TV show slated to kick start on May 1st in South Africa.
In the auditions that have been ongoing, over 50 participants from different parts of the country were screened to the last five who will also be chopped to one final aspirant.
The lucky candidate will represent the country in the TV series that last for three months.
This is going to be Big Brother V1 with Nigerian UTI scooping $200,000 in last year’s edition.
Uganda has had five representatives in “Big Brother” but only Gaetano is the closest to have reached the top five to win the cash price.
