Divizionz to premiere in London and USA
An Official Selection at this year's Berlin Film Festival, Divizionz is an authentic portrayal of an African inner city slum. Set in Uganda's capital, this low- budget film is the story of four friends, Kapo, Bana, Kanyankole and Mulokole, from four parts of the country trying to make it in Kampala, where they have set out to start careers as hip hop musicians.

From a contact they are offered a slot to perform in a bar. Kapo quits his job and raises some money to buy a track on which he and his crew will perform, plus the fare to the city. However, the youths are ambushed by tax enforcement officers before they can get to the city. After this, they find themselves with no money and no instruments for performing music thus putting their friendship and mission to a great test.

DIVIZIONZ will be premiering in London at the BFI LONDON INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (http://www.bfi.org.uk/lff/divizionz) and the AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE FESTIVAL in Los Angeles Next month.

“Who'd have thought that a cheap low budget 'guerilla' film shot on digital with pocket change would come this far.”
