Grace Nakimera in concert by Isaac Ssejjombwe.

Clad in a black overcoat, with a shiny golden bra and black tight pants plus long yellow boots, Grace backed by soul beat band took to the stage at 11:30pm with singles Ayi ayi, Anfukula and Nvawo nawe in her first session of her performance.

The second session, saw her perform Ani akumanyi, Welaga Ki, Rock your body, sukuma, Kawonawo, Onyambanga and Climaxing with Kiva Kuvi in what by far is the most successful concert by a female artist.

With Balaam, the best music promoter in the country apparently behind the wheels, Grace’s launch was everything an international concert going by the state of the art stage that fits the description of the one R.Kelly used while on his visit to Kampala.

The Diva worked up the crowd with a live performance and they kept on cheering at every song she performed during the evening. Kneeling down before the audience as a token of appreciation for their support and love, Grace narrated her struggles and hardships in the music industry and invited all the survivors to sing along to her Kawonawo tune to which they responded uniformly.

Bebe and Chameleon’s failure to turn up wasn’t conspicuous because Bobi wine’s late appearance got things heated up with his Carolina and Mr Katala tunes.

Juliana, Rachael K, Samalie Matovu of the omukwano gunyuma fame, Kabuye Semboga, Priscillar Kalibala, Jamal, Nandujja, Juju and new Dancehall gal Empress were some of the other curtain raisers on Grace’s concert.

With a crowd that filled KCC grounds to capacity on the same day the Goodlyf were launching their Ngenda Maso album, Grace has attested to be one of the greatest artists in the country lately.

Being a ounce in a lifetime concert, “Nakimera” concert went down history lane as the best organized concert ever.
