Isaiah Katumwa proves himself by Isaac Ssejjombwe.

A combination of talent, passion and brilliance is what Isaiah exhibited during his another step album launch at Serena hotel last Friday.

Clad in a white suit, black shirt with black shoes, Katumwa backed by a live band with four buck up singers made his way up the stage at 7.45pm with his welcome song taken off his coming home album blowing a soprano saxophone.

Ironically, the crowd answered yes when he asked them if they knew Nsiima yet it was his first time performing it. Tunakusinza Yesu, you alone, nina omukwano atakyuka, my joy, Nonze gwe done with Angela Kalule replacing Juliana Kanyomozi who couldn’t make it to the show and Africa are some of the other songs the Jazz icon performed to thousands of vigorous fans who turned up for the concert.

To prove that he’s the master in Jazz music, Isaiah perfectly played wamilele an old gospel song, I’ll be there originally done by fallen star Michael Jackson, Bette Midler’s wind beneath my wings and Elly Wamala’s Viola.

Like no other, Isaiah’s launch had no curtain raisers, dodgy emcees and the ever V.I.P $ general sections but the crowd kept on cheering and dancing to his tunes for every song he played through out his entire performance despite paying 50,000shs on entrance.

On climaxing the show, he repeated Viola, milele as a request from the audience later thanking the audience for their awesome support, the media for covering the event and lastly NTV, Mountain Dew, New Vision, Mirinda, silk Events and sms Media for making his show a success through their sponsorship.
