Abdul Wamala" <abdulwamala@hotmail.com - Both me and my wife are shocked to learn the death of our beloved singer. My he rest in peace.

muli bryy" <m34b82@yahoo.co.uk - Its not even four years since we lost a legend in Wamala now it seems like God has decided to take another one from us. These pillars in music are still needed for todays music. I know we were still young when they rocked Uganda but they layed the foundation of  what is in Uganda today. Let him rest in peace and let the music industry produce more Katumbas. I will dearly miss him and his lovely voice.   Yours KGB
essence@susakmedia2.com  - I was so saddened to hear the death of Jimmy Katumba, the only true star Uganda ever produced. He was my idol ever since I was a little girl. He brought us joy with those spectacular musical shows in the 80's. My regret is not fulfilling my dream of performing with him which I was planning on in the near future. Jimmy Katumba's singing style has modeled many popular singers/groups/bands although they don't want to admit it, in my eyes he was an institution and he has left lots of blossoming roots. We are going to miss him dearly.  May his soul rest in peace.  Essence Kasozi

Richard Awili" <richardawili@yahoo.com - Its too sad that Uganda has lost a such strong man in music.
May his soul  rest last in eternal peace. For the bereaved family and friends who include myself, just trust in God and remember that:
Goodbyes are not forever
And nor is it the end
When angels come to call away
A loved one or a friend.

The empty place that’s left behind
Within this world we know
Reminds us just how brief a stay
We have before we go.

So when it’s time to bid farewell
To one we’ll dearly miss
Let’s just say we’ll meet again
And promise them with this…

The true gift is that love remains
Although we now must part..
Until forever and beyond
I’ll keep you in my heart.

‘Wishing You Comfort In Your Time Of Sorrow

Kasumba, Stephen" <skasum@essex.ac.uk - To all Music lovers in Ugandans and in the Diaspora

It is sad indeed to hear of the untimely death of the great musician of our times, the late Jimmy Katumba. He has been a legend in Uganda and abroad. We here in the United Kingdom cannot get tired of his music like congratulations, which we play every time we succeed in our endeavours, and many others.  He has been one musician who has not been selfish from the number of those who has brought up.  The list is endless.

Everyone will remember the deep voice of the late that resembled that of Jim Reeves. We pray that Almighty receives Jimmy and treats him kind.

Jimmy we shall miss you but not your music!  May his soul rest in eternal peace!

Fred Ssamula" <fredssamula@bulldoghome.com - IF YOU SHOULD DIE TODAY LIKE OUR BROTHER JIMMY WHERE WOULD YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

The above is the most important question you could ever ask yourself. Naturally speaking, no one likes to think about death, but death comes to everyone.
The Bible says; " And as it is appointed unto men once to die , but after this the judgement" (Hebrews 9:27). In other wards you live once and die once; no second chance , "no re-incarnation" back to this natural life! Your eternal destiny is determined while you are alive now! There is no repentance after death! Now since death is inevitable for all of us, and there is opportunity for repentance  from sin after death, we must make a choice while we are alive now as to where we would spend our eternity.
According to the Bible you can only spend eternity in one of two possible places - either in heaven or in hell. Mathews 25:46 says; "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment hell; but the righteous shall go into life eternal heaven"
We would like to encourage the widow, orphans, relatives and all Jimmy's friends that dying is God's will to the human race, it's a matter of checking ourselves before we meet the Creator. When we listen to Jimmy's music especially gospel one it really intriguing.

Let us all pray that, our creator might judge him with mercy.
