Juju the artist by Isaac Ssejjombwe
Bbosa Junior, (born 29 years ago) better known by his stage name Juju is a Ugandan artist who has been there, done it and seen it all in the music industry. Since the early 1990’s, with artists likes Steve Jean, Shanks Vee Vee Dee, Ragga boys and the Blood brothers, Juju who was then a Dj around Kampala, was a household name in the music game but had to leave for Rwanda in search of greener pastures
Juju met Andy a producer from Germany who introduced him into production while in Rwanda and together, they composed Tora Kagame a song that led to now President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame into power. With songs like Nabigonza, Zandibuseko and Sukuma with Grace his little sister, the 29 year old is into music out of passion and production is his other business.
Being the main man behind Grace Nakimera’s musical success, Juju will definitely take the industry by storm.

Juju furthermore believes the Music industry in Uganda hasn’t improved because the industry is dominated by flippant people. “Being one of the pioneers in this game, I thought the music industry would change as time goes on but I’m surprised that it hasn’t moved an inch and I believe its basically because most guys in the system don’t have the qualification of how to run the game.” Juju said.
Using Swangz Avenue and Kiwuwa for the production of his songs, Juju who is also a father of two kids from different mothers has no intention of working with any other artist because they might claim what doesn’t belong to them.“Collaborations are good but also bad to an extent that someone can allege the song to be his or hers as it has been with many artists in Uganda which causes a lot of disagreements. I would rather do my own battles and get all the credit as a solo artist than share something with someone who doesn’t approve of my work.” He added.
In three years time, Juju is looking forward to making more pleasant hits added on making a video and Studio Company that will help promote upcoming artists.
He also encourages people who have a dream of becoming musicians one day to be unique, innovative and versatile so as to fulfill their dreams of becoming awesome artists.
