Keisha Mirembe-Uganda's Erika Badu
When you Listen to Keisha Mirembe's voice on her Love ballad “Ani Akwaga”, you will have no choice but listen to it all over again. Keisha delivers her lyrics with a passion and effortless tenderness in her voice. You have heard pressed not to refer to her as Uganda’s Erika Badu. With much of Uganda’s bubble gum music on the scene today, Keisha seems to be on a mission to leave a musical mark on Uganda’s music industry. Her music is decorated with deep instrumentation and a mixture of both Luganda and English Lyrics. A former student of Eagle's nest secondary school she has always loved the performing arts and music as an art. She might not yet be allover radio power play slots but give her two months and she will be all over Ugandans’ minds and lips because of her quite unique style. Music Uganda caught up with the gorgeous Ugandan Diva for a fill in.
