KING NAD BACK IN STYLE!

Boom bang boom! He’s back. King Nad the other half of the hitherto unknown but promising duo “Da’ braznads” has dropped a solo joint perfectly titled ‘TWESANYUSE’. Produced by Andrew Kiwanuka at the Kololo-based AV 1 studios, the block features a lady songbird named Annabelle who has mainly been performing gigs at pubs and parties.

“She’s actually my classmate at school”, explains Nad.

TWESANYUSE is a perfectly orchestrated dancehall piece boasting of a catchy gangstarish and yet futuristic hook,

“Obulamubwensi bwo bwakuleka kale twesanyuse”, it goes. One of Nad’s lines, basically emphasizing the common adage that life is short and therefore people should have a ‘blast’ at all times. I guess due to the easafricanization bug that’s quite apparent in the ragon today, Nad spits a Kiswahili lyric on one of his verses.

“Sanyu FM’s Big Ben liked it and promised us airplay on his Saturday night fever programme”, explains Nad.

Annabelle’s hook is backed up by Andre Kiwanuka’s trademark electric effect thus making it friendlier to the average ear. King Nad under ‘Da Braznads’ can be remembered for his track ‘INCHI YA AFRICA’ which received considerable airplay on fm radio stations in Kampala. The video for the same song aired for a while on WBS’ late show @ the start of the year.

School takes up most of his time and hence the disappearance from the showbiz scene but ceteris peribus, if he could sneak into studio and check out with such a product then Nad is destined for regional and overseas stardom. His partner Braz is apparently in the States visiting family and friends. If I were a class teacher marking this as an exam I’d offer TWESANYUSE one word; EXCELLENT !
Good luck buoy.
