Kingdom Dancers to release an orchestra fused track.
After launching their first ever debut album on 14th September 2008, the kingdom dancers have set out to pursue their vision of revolutionizing the Ugandan gospel music industry. Being the first gospel dance group in Uganda to dance to their own music, a group comprising of 12 members is focusing on experimenting on a music genre so unheard of in Uganda; Orchestra music. This is a combination of wind, string, percussion and brass instruments played in unison to make a symphony. “We are thinking out of the box this time, a need to think global not local.
Time has come where we feel to differentiate our selves we must take musical risks. You can' t imagine that in the world there are over 8,000 genres of music that a musicians can borrow from to serve his loyal fans. The orchestra fusion will be of hip-hop, contemplary African and traditional rhythms still keeping it gospel. World music is the way to go for us and we are just starting the journey" says Richard Mwebesa the group's art director.
The single should be out by late January though the Kingdom dancers say being a complex genre the producers have to be chosen carefully to bring out the sound they intend to have. Watch out for the single it shall have lots to say musically.
