Meet Mark B
Mark B prefers to describe himself as a down to earth, friendly and God-fearing person. He goes by the names Mark Brian Karugaba.
Mark B has not been in the music industry for such a long time, he started singing in 2000 but released his first commercial song in 2004.It did not do as well as he expected. The song was called “Boanerges” which he released while in a gospel group. In 2005, he went solo. His first project “Engabo” which was a Christian song. He later decided to venture into the other side of music, the “The secular music”. He released “Kabi”, the song that gave him audience. He later released an HIV song called “Nalose”.
In 2007, he met Blaze and decided to work together. They started by releasing “Kanfube” which gained airplay in January and February 2008. It received numerous airplay on Sanyu’s East Africa’s top 10 for about 3 months and hit No.1 for two weeks.

Mark B has faces a number of challenges like radio stations not playing his music because the presenters want money to play the music. He also advices young upcoming artists that music should be a part of you, Love it because it’s a part of you.
Mark B plans to venture into gospel to “positive” music. Most people are interested in entertainment and don’t have time for spiritual music. (I personally don’t agree with that). He is starting work on his third album that entirely Gospel.
