Mr Price and Tony Venture
As the name suggests, the group consists of two gentlemen Mr. Price and Tony Venture and they are due to release their first album recorded at No End Studios.
Tony Venture
His real name is Mujjuni Aggrey and his walk through music begins as far as 1999. He began singing in the school choir as a lead vocalist. (1999 – 2003). He then after formed a group called Soul to Soul; they did a couple of tracks but never released them. He gave music a break and concentrated on his books till 2006. He met Mr. Price in a karaoke and thus the group name Mr. Price and Tony Venture.
Mr. Price
His real name is Tony Mukasa and he is a former member of the Eclipse Dance Group which is now based in Nairobi, Kenya. He joined Eclipse in 1999 and left in 2004, but while pursuing his dance career he also pursued singing on the side. When he asked why he left eclipse, he says, “The journey from and to Kenya, balancing books and I wanted to concentrate on music.” He met with Tony venture and they decided to mix dancehall (Mr. Price) and R’n’B (Tony Venture).
At the moment they have recoded two songs “She’s ma gal” and “Yonno Dear”. The video for She’s ma gal is already out and we will soon have it on the site.
About “Yonno Dear”
It is a Luganda Afro dancehall song. They wrote the song basing on someone’s personal experiences and it was produced at No End Studios
Their expectations this year is to define music and bring a certain feel into the music
