From Left: Gen. Levy & Peter Miles
Peter Miles finally releases collabo with Gen Levi
This collabo may be considered as one of the hottest reggae collaborations this year. It was the topic on many people’s lips be it media and fellow artists till its release now. For those who happened to eavesdrop the ‘tune’ before its actual release would actually narrate like “Man, Peter Miles has released a thunderous tune with Gen. Levy” and when they were asked how it goes like all they would say its good but all I can remember is “Oah Aah”. In my head I would be like why the hell would you remember only two words, next time eavesdrop more. After listening to the song, I personally don’t blame them; it has a catchy phrase of ‘Oah Aah”.
When news reached my desk about the tune… I kept asking my self who the hell is Gen. Levy. It had to take a phone interview with Peter Miles, who had to sing for me one of his songs to actually remember. (Sorry I might confess am not so good with reggae artists). Gen Levy is behind so many ragga and reggae artists like Champagne Buddy, Incredible, Jungle House (that did not stop me from asking who those are too) and has worked with other artists like Mark Morrison, Ali G and Capleton.(these I know). It reminded of a friend who always complains about 80’s kids who know nothing. Besides my getting to know who Gen. Levy I got to know more information about that this fabulous hit and can share that information with you.

Peter Miles met Gen Levy a.k.a Paul Levi through his former manager Junior Hart during his last trip to London, UK. They talked about the possibility of collaboration. When he came back home, they got in touch and sent some of his material to Gen. Levy to listen to and he liked his vibe. He liked the original version of “Oah Aah” and they did remix of the song. They have also done a second track called “Kunta Kinte”
About Oah Aah
On the song Gen levy brings out his legendary fiery rapping style that is effortlessly complimented by Peter Miles’ typical patua lingua. It’s a dance song talking about all the regions of the world.
