Rachel Magoola best describes as “A what you see is what you get” so don’t expect anything more from what you see in front of you.
MU: Tell us about your Afrigo days.
Rachel: She joined Afrigo in 1989 and left in 2001 and formed her own group called Rachel Magoola which was into existence for one year after which she left for Europe.
MU: Tell us about life after Afrigo.
Rachel: Right now she is trying to promote her music on a bigger scale. She has got in touch with a professor who helped her get a distribution contract with ARC. Besides music, Rachel Magoola is also a director at her mom’s school in Iganga. It is basically a 2 in 1. It has a primary school called Menyaziraba Muzaale set up in the memory of her grandfather and Walugogo Teacher’s College, a private teacher’s college.
MU: What is your view on the Annual UNAA Convention
Rachel: The convention presents a great opportunity for people to meet, get and share ideas, a good opportunity for networking and not to forget the partying and having fun.

MU: What should your audience expect from you at this year’s convention?
Rachel: They should expect me to do the best, entertaining people and I have got a mixture of dances from every part of Uganda.
MU: Do you have other show lined up for you.
Rachel: I hope to consolidate with an agent, the road manager or Thomas Mafuma for Zimbabwe. I have a showcase on the 14th September, 2007 where I am going to collaborate with Essence Kasozi.

Rachel: Believing in yourself, Be you, No one can actualize who you are.
MU: What is your philosophy on life?
Rachel: Take each day as it comes. Make the most of it coz you never know what tomorrow brings. If you make the most of today then you will have prepared for tomorrow
MU: What is your shoe size?
Rachel: 6

MU: What is your craziest encounter with a fan?
Rachel: A kiss straight to the lips coz I thought he was going to hug me and after he introduces his wife

Rachel: Water

Rachel: I think anyone who is good and we have the same musical tastes.
MU: What makes you laugh?
Rachel: Good time with friends
MU: What makes you cry?
Rachel: Betrayal
MU: What is your stand for the Youth? Abstinence or Condom use and why?
Rachel: Abstinence because condoms get forgotten with time.
MU: Are you seeing someone?
Rachel: Yes

MU: Many musicians seldom deviate into doing movies as they take breaks between recording albums. Do you have plans to do so?
Rachel: I would if the opportunity comes along. I used to act in school and I believe 2 be able to perform you have to be a good actor.
MU: What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Rachel: I warm my voice that is if I wake up and still have time but normally I jump out take a shower, dress up and go to school classes begin at 7:30 AM.
MU: What type of man would you like or what would you like in a man?
Rachel: Honest, committed, friendship and love of course.
MU: What is your most trying moment?
Rachel: When I lost a loved one the rest you get over them.
MU: What are your worst moments?
Rachel: If you do a flop show on stage or when I cannot perform or deliver to my fan.
MU: What are your best moments?
Rachel: When my mum won her second term in office (MP for Iganga). We danced through the streets of Iganga. It was naughty. We could kneel in the roads, I can’t believe I did all that.
MU: Where do you call home?
Rachel: UG. I love being home; I can’t stay away for long
