Born
Isaac Juuko Kagga on 5th January 1982, Ridim K's
parents knew right from an early age that he was
gonna be a musicians. He started music at St. Paul
Kitagobwa Pri. Sch were he was in the school's
choir. During his stay in the choir, he learned
playing drums, xylophones, adungu and dancing
traditional dances like the Lunyege and Entogoro. He
attended Ndejje S.S for S.1 and S.2 and left the
school because he wanted to get another one in town
so he could frequent to the Afrigo Studios in Kibuli.
This worked and he attended Green Light Zana High
school from where he completed his O'Level. He was
so much inspired by Timothy Kizito, then producer at
the Afrigo Studios. He joined the Cultural Beat band
which had musicians like Da Twinz and Ronnie Kavuma.
He was a keyboard player and one of the lead
vocalists. His fans named him Junior Shaggy for he
sounded just like the original Mr. Bombastic
himself. Ridim K also teamed with Musa of the Sound
Hut studios in Ndeeba from where he developed his
skills as a producer.
In late September of
2002 together with his sister, Ridim moved to the
United States to join his mama he hadn't seen for
years. In January 2004, he joined the United States
Army as an Artillery Soldier. He is currently
stationed at Fort Sill in the state of Oklahoma. He
set up his own recording studio known as DA RIDIMZ .
In this studio, its were he wrote and produced his
first album `Keep Hope Alive' with the help of his
roommate Chris Kalunda and Darrien with whom they
did Keep Hope Alive. Watch out for his album. The
release date will be known soon.
Ridim K has four
sisters, two daughters and a very beautiful Fiancee.
