Sista Margla “The dancehall prophetess’

At first sight, you’ll think of her as a reserved individual thanks to her almost kindergarten smile but sit her down and bring about her favorite conversation (dancehall music) and you’ll have gotten her started. Like a jukebox she’ll throw lots of wild banter at you, you might as well regret having ever started it all.
Fashionably conscious, ferociously aggressive with her music, Sista Margla is the latest Dancehall girl on the block.

Going by her self given futuristic title of the ‘Dancehall prophetess” Sista Margla has started out on a journey that will surely leave her mark on the scene if her latest chart buster “Amazina Ga’ Kampala” is anything to go by. She just released her debut tracks including Tonyumiza and Ohh Boy featuring Jonty and Hyperman. On Amazina ga’ kampala the talkative lady sets the pace with what you’d safely call an intimidating intro which precisely signifies that she has what it takes to keep afloat in an industry that’s now become at least cutthroat. In other words the best record survives the test of time especially in an era where there are zillions of records on the market and consumers are basically spoilt for choice.

Her latest track is backed up by a raw Dancehall beat, thanks to producer Jonty’s wizardry on the production boards of steel. Margla is the fresh face representing the ladies and if she can hold her own in an industry mildly saturated by males then perhaps it would be safe to assume that she knows where she’s from and where she’s headed….as a dancehall artist.” I am trying to take this on as a career ‘cause I’ve always loved recording dancehall music” says Margla, but she’s also facing a glitch in the form of her education at university a fact she claims consumes her time sometimes as she cannot rehearse, she also continues to say that she’s still looking at major promotions internationally but is still building her brand as an artist. Margla also hopes to help disadvantaged women in the future because she believes they are every nations pride and with that kind of attitude I guess we need to big her up, yes Big time.
