Describe Iryn Namubiru
Iryn is a very sociable and down to earth person.
What are you working on at the moment; do you have an album in mind?
I am actually taking time off with my family and continuing to compose songs whenever I can. I am thinking of an album some time this year.
How does it feel being Nominated Artist of the year?
I am very humbled and feel much honored, I wasn't only nominated but I also won those awards.
How do you handle living in France and promoting your music in Uganda? What challenges do you face?
It becomes easier when one has a manager who is competent. My manager Thadeus Mubiru takes care of most of the tasks but I thank God for the advanced technology we have today. My biggest challenge is having to spend some time away from my family though we try as much as possible to stick together.
How do you balance your career as an artiste and being a mother and a wife?
Organization, and I think it's not extraordinary, I am like any other working lady, there are some who go to Juba, Kenya, china, Dubai e.t.c for their different kind of businesses and they are mothers yet they all still fulfill their responsibilities as mothers.
How do you keep up your good looks… a.k.a your figure?
On this, I do not know what to answer exactly. I work out if I have to and that is : cardio exercises for 45 minutes, stretching 15 minutes, weight lifting 30minutes, Abs 15minutes e.t.c 6 days a week. But I am not a very big woman generally.
What is your ideal man?
I have him already; he is everything I want in a man so I do not need to mention.

How many kids would you like to have?
I have two already and I need two more very soon, I have a dead line.
Apart from singing what else do you do?
Fine Art, and take time to work with my foundation "TOGETHER FOR THE CHILDREN"
Where does your musical inspiration come from?
It's in the blood, I was born a singer but my mum used to sing for me all the time, my late maternal grandma used to be good too and I just learnt that my father has a musical background too.
How has being an artiste changed your life?
I actually think the only life I have known is that of an artist because I have always been singing since I started pronouncing any syllables.
Who and what do you consider as your immediate competitor?
Only me, myself and I
What should your fans expect in 2011?
Some collaborations that might surprise, some gospel and lots of love.
