Wafagio
Wafagio is an all girl sexy charisma, modest musical talent, the acceptance of the all girl phenomena in the music arena has made them next big thing. The Uganda band was created in 2008 by Xscape Music and Entertainment in partnership with Emma Carlos –Talent Agency which went underground on a talent search right from popular karoake hangouts, to established recording studios and church looking for talented girls to form an all-girl group.
The winning girls were attached to a team of professionals right form song writing, vocalist, producers and chereographers and the end product is their debut album known as Love Doctor, two singles Mukidongo and Natuzza have been released and have received heavy rotation on local FM stations and Disco Clubs, the video for Mukidongo has been shot and shall be released early January 2008.
The group has made appearances at the now popular Silk Lounge Fashion nite, Radio Simba Ekigunda Kyo Mwaka, Beat FM Luwombo, Pilnser’s Imara Kama Simba Promo and the UTL Vroomula Promotion.
STYLE
Wafagio predominantly sings Afro pop with styles that mainly encompasses urban, contemporary, and dance-pop. The group usually harmonizes their vocals in their songs, especially on the ballads. In most instances of their songs, each member sings one verse and chimes in at the chorus perched with one girl who does rap.
The group explores their lyrics to man-to-woman relationship, celebrating sisterhood and female empowerment anthems.
HOW DO WE SOUND?
Music targeted at today’s dynamic population, ie our album was carefully selected to consider all classes. Mukidongo nenkasa is an upbeat raga dancehall song fit for the urban youth, Natuzza entoobo and Love Doctor cuts across all classes.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE?
The group has been in operation since May 2008 and so far has realized their debut album, we have mostly been concentrating on branding, and our focus group surveys indicate that our mixed album is taking us places. The group’s two lead singles Mukidongo nenkasa and Love Doctor have attracted many fans.
Our short term goals are to secure an appall space and recognition in the market arena which we are glad has worked, promote our album and videos.
Long term goal is to be a fully equipped all live girl band in Uganda, East Africa.

Wafagio is an initiative by Xscape Music and Entertainment a record label that has got core competence in music, video promotion and distribution; however, it gets back-up support (Management and Booking) from a well established Emma Carlos a Talent Booking and Management Agency which has been around for over seven years.
