Battle of Champions part 2 by 1544c Ssejjombwe. (+256 782233273)
It was in January last year that Bobi Wine and Chameleon took to the stage in a concert dubbed “Battle of Champions” which was a concert aimed at uniting both artists. And according to the info we came by, Bobi Wine is slated to face off with his number one enemy Bebe Cool in this year’s battle.
Mr. Lawrence who happens to be the man behind this arrangement and the C.E.O Angry Management says the battle, if all goes well will be taking place in March at Hotel Africana. “It’s well known that both artists are at loggerheads and this concert can help in setting a platform of re-uniting them. March is the likely date for this battle while Africana people’s space will be the venue. This is going to be the concert of the year and both artists will be exhibiting their old and new songs.” He said.
For a long time now, Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine have been the worst of enemies and on several occasions failed to share the same stage, collided on album launches, released songs hitting on each other and fought in different places.
Just can’t wait to see Bobi Wine singing “Kasepeki” and Bebe on the other hand performing “Katala” and both artists hugging each other afterwards. Could this be the reconciliation of the year? Let’s just wait and see.

Uganda: Catering for the 40+ Crowd by Edgar R Batte R Batte
There is music that can never die and there is a crowd that has every right to shoot down music of this age as bubble gum. Those are the people in their 40s, a crowd that knows too well how to get their groove on and the money to let them do so. But for a long time they did not have a place to go to and wind down as they relived memories from yesteryear, when they were young and hippy. Ange Noir has offered them a place to put their dancing shoes on and shake their waists.
Guvnor 40+ is that place, an extension of Guvnor. "We felt the need to take care of the country's more senior citizens, in a comfortable and classy place, where they could dance to the music they knew well, music that is rarely played in clubs these days," Ange Noir's publicist Tshaka Mayanja explains.

Steak out on sale by 1544c Ssejjombwe. (+256 782233273).
Looks like one of Kampala’s long standing bar and hang out Steak out is on the verge of collapsing after proprietor Dings real names Peter Wacha is putting it up on sale.
The Lumumba based bar has for some time now been under the supervision of NEMA because of noise pollution.
In fact steak out was closed for some weeks a couple of years ago after nearby residents complained of excessive noise which forced police to confiscate their machines until the situation was restored afterwards.
Basing on that pressure, Dings is selling off the bar which he has been running for a period of ten years and more.

Winner’s concert flops by 1544c Ssejjombwe. (+256 782233273)
Straka Baibe is one person who should just give concerts a break. The Tv presenter has had more of flopped shows than successes and her last one dubbed “Abawanguzi” (Winner’s concert) at Club Obligato was no exception.
With entrance fee at 30k and 50k respectively, the concert attracted only 10 people with the rest being journalists, sponsors, bouncers and workers.
The concert was meant for artists like Bebe Cool, Irene Namubiru, Angella Kalule, Jackie Chandilu, Navio, Pr. Bugembe, Hilderman, Chameleon, Juliana, Judith Babirye, Chris Evans and Goodlyf after being winners in Pams, Diva’s and Olive Gospel awards last year.
The ten people who attended were given back their money and just like many of her shows, Straka counted it a total loss, making it the first flopped show in 2012.
The WBS TV, presenter has had a series of flopped shows including her highly anticipated weeding to local singer Sizzaman a couple of years ago.
