Background

The Obsessions has been in the entertainment industry for the last eight years. The brand has solidified its presence in the market place to become one of the leading entertainment brands in Uganda. The entertainment industry in Uganda and East Africa in general is growing at an incredible rate with customers not only demanding wide variety but also willing to pay for quality entertainment.

The brand has for the past six years put on at least one classical theater production at The National Theatre and these include, “Princess Miana, “Cleopatra”, “Heart Of A Dancer”, “Legend Of The Scepter”, “Queen of Sheba”, “Before Adam & Eve” and “Return To Innocence”, ”Sipirit of the Sun” all written by Africa’s young playwright Ronnie Mulindwa, Artistic Director of Obsessions Co. Ltd. These productions have won theater box office records in sales as they are professionally impacting and unique compared to other theaters from other groups in Uganda hence their popularity.

About us

The Obsessions group is a fully registered company whose ownership is by shareholding. In line with our brand promise “We nurture talent” our goal is to pool together the rich talent in the world of music, theatre and dance and build it in order to create professionalism and competitive edge in the entertainment industry.

The company is run by a team of industrious, professional and multi talented people with skills as creative writing, programming, production, choreography etc We pride ourselves in being in the industry for the last 9 years, in which we have successfully established ourselves in music, dance and theatre.

We have been able to produce over four albums with eight tracks each all of which have received increased airplay on radio and are popular country wide and regionally. We also have success stories in the areas of theatre, music production and harnessing our own in house choreography. This time it’s the girls second coming with great features from top Ugandan Artistes Like Bebe Cool, Mr Mosh, and produced by several multitalented producers like; Henry Kiwuwa, Dr. Tee, Washington, Steve Jean etc..

The Album Title record for this latest album is called “Begoonza” a song that exposes the tricks that boys use to get girls played and after disappear after getting some of what they wanted and they go gossip around how they have mastered their game, here the girls are sending out cautions to all ladies to beware of these guys who come humble….

These are the members that are featuring on this album and will be traveling to Nairobi, Kigali, UK, Scotland, USA, and Sweden from June to August.
This will all come after the Girls unveiling this album  along side Collie Buddz a JAMICANA Dance Hall Artistes known  for his song called “MaamaCita” come MAY 30TH KCC Grounds & 1ST June 2008 at Aero Beach Entebbe in Kampala.

The group also celebrates with over a couple of Video Clips ranging form the boys out fit hits like to the reining girls;

“This album is a revelation of how far the girls and the brand have both come from it is a clear indication of growth and hard work put into making something more worthwhile for our fans out there, it cut crosses all genres of music and people, from afro, pop, Reggae-Dance Hall, Zouk and RnB.
The songs are; Begoonza/ Feel Me/Shake Yo Booty ft. Babe Cool/ Mbeere Nawe (Love Light)/ Napoteza/ Bagala Twawula and also singles like; Mwekutte, I Will Do ft. Mr. Mosh.
